Porter Airlines Adding New Bahamas Route, More Caribbean Flights This Winter
Porter Airlines is ramping up its Caribbean network this winter with a slate of new and expanded routes to sunny destinations.
The Canadian carrier is launching its first-ever Caribbean service from Montreal (YUL), with new nonstop flights to Nassau, The Bahamas (NAS) beginning Feb. 5, 2026. The service will operate three times weekly, giving travelers in Quebec a new, easy option for winter getaways to The Bahamas.
Alongside the Nassau launch, Porter is increasing frequencies on several of its most popular Caribbean routes from Hamilton, Ottawa and Toronto Pearson.
That includes expanded service on flights from Ottawa (YOW) to Grand Cayman (GCM), as well as additional capacity on Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Cancun (CUN) and Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL).
The growth reflects the strong seasonal demand from Canadian travelers looking to escape the cold. “Our updated winter schedule represents a major expansion of Porter’s network due to the strong response from customers for our new and existing sun markets,” said Kevin Jackson, president of Porter Airlines.
The airline’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft will operate all routes, featuring no middle seats, complimentary premium snacks, free Wi-Fi, and full beverage service in glassware.
