A recent addition to the Petra ticketing process, it’s now possible to buy all three ticket options on the official Petra Pass website.

When completing your details, note you will be asked to enter an expected arrival date and time, but the actual ticket is valid for three months from date of purchase.

The ticket prices are the same as you will find at the Visitor’s Centre, but they do charge a small processing fee of 1 – 2 JD (depending upon ticket selected).

The Jordan Pass

The Jordan Pass is a government-run tourism scheme, whereby a single digital pass includes entry to 40+ attractions, waives your Jordan visa fee, and includes your Petra tickets.

Five essential things to note:

· you have to buy the Jordan Pass before you arrive in Jordan.

· you have to spend a minimum of three consecutive nights in the country.

· there are three ‘levels’ of Jordan Pass, based solely one whether you want to include 1, 2, or 3 consecutive visit days to Petra (costing 70 JD, 75 JD and 80 JD respectively).

· the Petra tickets are the same price as paying in person at the Visitor Centre.

· you do not have to specify the day(s) you’ll be visiting Petra, but simply ensure you visit within the two-week validity period after it’s activated.
