Belize Is Reinventing the Dive Festival With Legendary Reefs, Marine Conservation, and a Sustainability Mission

Belize, home to the planet’s second-largest barrier reef, is introducing a dive experience unlike any other. From Sept. 24–27, 2025, San Pedro, Ambergris Caye will host Beyond Blue – Belize’s Great Dive of Sustainability, a first-of-its-kind summit that fuses exploration with marine conservation.

Diving Into the Movement

This isn’t just another dive trip. Beyond Blue is designed to connect divers with the story beneath the surface — the urgent work being done to protect Belize’s reef, its atolls, and the vibrant marine life that depends on them. Days are spent in the water, evenings in conversation. Expert-led sessions will reveal the latest on Belize’s conservation efforts, from coral restoration to marine reserve protection, with divers heading out the next day to see those initiatives firsthand.

Iconic Dives, New Perspectives

The itinerary features some of the country’s most legendary underwater sites:

• A one-tank dive at The WIT, the sunken ship that’s become a haven for coral and marine life.
• A two-tank dive at Hol Chan Marine Reserve, where divers move through channels crowded with eagle rays, nurse sharks and schools of snapper.
