A New Grand Hyatt Resort Is Opening in Grand Cayman This Fall
It’s doubly grand. The Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort and Spa is set to open this fall, Caribbean Journal has learned, a new luxury retreat that will bring 382 guest rooms and suites to the edge of Seven Mile Beach.
The resort is positioned to become one of the leading places to stay in Grand Cayman, with a broad focus on wellness, dining, and immersive island experiences — all within minutes of Owen Roberts International Airport.
It’s the latest in a growing number of cool new additions to the hotel scene in Cayman, from the Vida wellness-focused resort to the outstanding new Hotel Indigo, where we visited last year and loved it.
At the heart of the property will be a signature destination spa, featuring indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, an ice room, a tranquility pool, and a wellness philosophy inspired by the four natural elements.

Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman will also have five distinct culinary venues, including Salt & Cinder, a globally-inspired beachfront restaurant located just 30 feet from the sea; Lo Tide Pool Bar & Restaurant with a focus on Mexican flavors; Hi Tide Rooftop Bar, with a menu of raw and cured dishes and cocktail pairings; and Brasa, the resort’s elevated seafood and island cuisine concept.

For adventure seekers, the hotel offers immediate access to the sea, including snorkeling and diving at The Wreck of the Gamma, located just offshore, along with catamaran trips, paddleboarding, sailing, and excursions to Stingray City and Rum Point.
The property will also cater to group events and celebrations, with a collection of flexible indoor-outdoor meeting spaces, including a dramatic sunset ballroom and a sprawling oceanfront deck.
The Grand Hyatt is expected to significantly raise the profile of Grand Cayman’s hotel scene — and its launch will be one of the region’s most anticipated new hotel openings this year.
Booking is not yet available for the property.
