Finest Artisanal Chocolates by La Ibérica

With the establishment of a newly designed artisanal production workshop and the opening of its Chocolatier store, the iconic Arequipa-based brand La Ibérica is launching over 50 new handcrafted creations, including bonbons, truffles, marzipan, chocolate bars, and molded figures.

Finest Artisanal Chocolates by La Ibérica

Peru’s beloved fine chocolate brand, La Ibérica, celebrates a new milestone with the launch of its first Chocolatierboutique in Lima. Located at the Real Plaza Salaverry mall in Jesús María, the shop pays homage to the art of artisanal chocolate making, a tribute to the brand’s origins and craftsmanship dating back over a century.

When founder Juan Vidaurrazaga Menchaca began operations in 1909, he specialized in crafting fine chocolates by hand. More than a hundred years later, the company returns to its roots with the creation of a dedicated workshop for artisanal production and the introduction of a luxury store concept.

The newly built workshop has been designed to produce more than 50 new items. Among the highlights are the “Bombón Centenario” (milk chocolate filled with marzipan, Brazil nuts, pisco, and pecans), the “Bombón Nougat” (milk chocolate with chestnut nougat and honey), and the “Bombón Mazapán con Piña” (chocolate with chestnut marzipan and pineapple in syrup), all elegantly displayed in glass showcases.

Every piece is crafted to deliver a multisensory experience through flavor, texture, and design. “We’re offering Peruvians some of the finest chocolates in the world—a gem to share through this new experience with La Ibérica Chocolatier,” says General Manager Bernardo Suárez.

With this launch, La Ibérica introduces products that rival those of world-class chocolatiers in Brussels, Paris, and Zurich. Since its inception, La Ibérica Chocolatier has established itself as a benchmark for luxury chocolate in Peru, blending refined European techniques with high-quality local ingredients. This new brand concept continues to grow in select locations, reinforcing its commitment to excellence, tradition, and innovation.

The In-Store Experience

Walking into the new Chocolatier boutique is like stepping into a world where every detail has been designed to transform a simple purchase into an extraordinary moment.

“This isn’t just about picking out chocolates,” explains Marketing Deputy Manager Mara Ramírez. “It’s about creating a unique, personalized gift. From selecting individual bonbons and bars to choosing the packaging, each customer can customize their box for any occasion with their favorite flavors.”

This premium boutique at Real Plaza Salaverry marks the beginning of a broader expansion, with three more locations planned across strategic areas of Lima before the end of the year.

IN THE KNOW: La Ibérica currently manages several sub-brands , including La Ibérica Chocolatier, Milky, Fondy, and Fábrica de Chocolate, with a presence in over 70 retail locations nationwide. For more information, visit www.laiberica.com.pe
