Hilton’s New Dominican Republic All-Inclusive Is Opening Next Month, With Plunge-Pool Rooms and On-the-Sand Bungalows

The newest Hilton-branded all-inclusive in the Caribbean is set to make its highly-anticipated debut next month, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.

The new Hilton Zemi Miches, set in the fast-growing development hotspot of Miches (where brands like Marriott have already staked claims) is officially opening June 30.

The hotel is bookable for stays beginning those dates.

So what do you need to know about it? It’s part of Hilton’s growing all-inclusive, with more than 10 different dining concepts, along with four pools, water slides and, most importantly, a setting on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic.

The party piece is what Hilton calls Club Azure (akin to Preferred Clubs with other brands), a kind of hotel-within-a-hotel that has elevated room amenities and some higher-level accommodations, including the option of toes-in-the-sand bungalows — along with a rooftop pool.

If you aren’t staying in Club Azure, you can still go for a range of different room options (including some with plunge pools) and enjoy the swim-up pool regardless.

There’s also a large spa and space for meetings and weddings.

What do I get with my all-inclusive room rate?

This is a full-fledged all-inclusive, meaning you get unlimited food and drinks, free non-motorized watersports and pool and beach service (meaning servers come and take your order and then bring you your rum punch or Brugal).

This is not an adults-only hotel — it is family friendly, and that includes a kids club and a space for teens.

What does the new Zemi Miches cost?

Rates start at $480 right now for a tropical view room. But for $576 you can get one of the resort’s tropical view plunge-pool rooms, which we strongly recommend splurging for.

If you want extra service and amenities, go for one of the Club Azure, which has a range of elevated rooms that include oceanfront toes-in-the-sand bungalows.

The resort is one of a growing number of beach resorts in Miches.

Unsurprisingly, those rooms are sold out for most of July. But you can get a Club Azure ocean-view room for $783. On balance, we’d say go for the plunge pool rooms — they’re cheaper and, as we always say, a private pool is the best in-room amenity

So how do you get to Miches exactly?

First fly to Punta Cana, which is thankfully easy to get to from just about everywhere in the United States. Next, rent a car or arrange a transfer with the hotel for the trip, which takes about one hour and a half on the main highway along the northeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Here’s where you can find cheap flights to Punta Cana.
