Louis Vuitton has opened a hotel-inspired pop-up in the heart of Bangkok

Bangkok has become quite the fashionista’s paradise in recent years. International jetsetters purposefully lay over in the glittering metropolis, or indeed make it their sole destination, to peruse the latest collections in world-class mega malls.

Now, there’s another reason to check in on The Big Mango, as French fashion house Louis Vuitton unveils a glamorous pop-up dedicated to its 130th Anniversary Monogram Journey.

The Bangkok pop-up serves as the Maison’s latest exclusive hideout in Southeast Asia, welcoming guests to Baan Trok Tua Ngork, a century-old residence nestled in the historic and culturally rich neighbourhood, for a little over a month.

Set across four levels, the opening invites brand devotees to embark on a refined journey of exploration, celebrating the Monogram as a timeless icon – a symbol deeply rooted in Louis Vuitton’s heritage.

The now instantly recognisable monogram dates back to 1896, when Georges Vuitton honoured his father, Louis Vuitton, and, unbeknownst to him at the time, made a quiet and endearing declaration of authenticity.

Louis Vuitton’s Bangkok pop-up is the latest in a series of global anniversary celebrations, with the journey also visiting other international hubs, including Shanghai, New York, and Seoul. The hotel-inspired concept reflects the fashion house’s longstanding association with travel.

Inside, visitors encounter immersive rooms dedicated to five of the brand’s most iconic monogram bags – Keepall, Speedy, Alma, Neverfull, and Noé. Each room presents these creations as both functional companions and objects of style, elevated to cultural icons that have journeyed across generations, from travellers to collectors.

This isn’t Louis Vuitton’s first captivating activation in the city. In early 2024, LV The Place Bangkok opened its doors in the city’s Ratchaprasong shopping district. The 360 concept spans a store, café, restaurant, and exhibition at Gaysorn Amarin, with exhibits showcasing the breadth of imagination and creativity within the Louis Vuitton universe today across two floors of the downtown retail space.

The Louis Vuitton Monogram Pop-up is located at Baan Trok Tua Ngork, 306 Thanon Santiphap, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok 10100, Thailand, and open from Wednesday 11 February until Sunday 15 March.
