Pet Friendly Hotels Australia | Dream by Luxury Escapes

Pet-friendly travel has been a hot topic in recent years with more travellers than every foregoing the pet sitter in favour of a road trip with their furry friends. Whether you’re looking to be spoiled in the city, relax with an opulent escape or take on some more challenging terrain on a coastal road trip in a Land Rover Discovery, these top-notch hideaways will have you and your beloved pooch living the life of luxury.

QT Melbourne, VIC

QT Melbourne is one of Australia's best dog-friendly hotels - Luxury Escapes

When the goodest boys and girls deserve a little pampering, look no further than QT Melbourne. While you explore the city or have a sundowner at signature bar, Rooftop at QT, you can book your best friend in for a luxe groom at the hotel that will have them looking sharp. At night retreat to your pet-friendly room to order your pup a meal from the vet-approved menu or get them a treat from the special in-room pet minibar. On checkout, don’t forget to say goodbye to the best concierge in the biz – Russell the Labrador Retriever.

Luxury Escapes recently teamed up with Land Rover Discovery and Olympia Valance for the ultimate dog-friendly escape in Victoria. Check out the first episode for a sneak peek into what awaits you and your four-legged friend at QT Melbourne – including George arriving in style courtesy of the Land Rover Discovery’s pet access ramp.

Lilianfels Resort and Spa – Blue Mountains, NSW

Tucked away in the Blue Mountains, Lilianfels Resort and Spa is the ultimate getaway for both you and your beloved dog. Take the time to luxuriate with a massage or facial while your companion snuggles up in a plush dog bed and blanket, or chows down on a meal from the exclusive dog-friendly, in-room dining menu. You can also explore the pristine grounds together or wander the surrounding trails to Echo Point Lookout and beyond.

From off-road trails to mountain tracks, the Blue Mountains has plenty to keep your pup’s tail wagging beyond Lilianfels’ front door. Before you head back to your digs to unwind, hose down any muddy paw prints with the Land Rover Discovery’s portable rinse system. It doesn’t require batteries or external power so there’s no need to worry about keeping it charged.

Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre, an IHG Hotel, QLD

For luxury by the Brisbane River, Hotel Indigo Brisbane’s ‘Paws, Play and Stay’ package is a must. On arrival, your four-legged friend will be treated to a goodie bag with a toy, blanket and treats from local artisanal dog bakery, The Puptisserie. Dogs are also more than welcome in onsite 1603 Bar and at the breakfast buffet, with special dog-friendly seating available on the upper floor.

Each spacious, modern room has a private enclosed courtyard or garden, a doggy food bowl and a super-soft pet bed, plus a welcome treat on arrival to make your best friend feel extra special. Your dog is also welcome to join daily breakfast in the garden of the onsite Olims Bar & Bistro. Feline friends are also welcome.

Cupitt’s Estate, South Coast NSW

Check in to The Farmhouse property at Cupitt’s Estate winery, a four-bedroom haven with a private backyard and sparkling pool for your pets to cool off in after a long day of being the best. While you can’t bring them into the estate’s onsite cellar door, your dog is welcome to explore the sprawling grounds on a lead. Bring your pooch to dinner with you on the terrace or lawn so the whole family can watch the sun set over this incredible part of the country.

Bannisters Pavilion, Mollymook NSW

Treat your four-legged friend to a coastal escape at Bannisters Pavilion where you can take a trip to the beach, or a swim in the glittering pool, then return to your pet-friendly room with plenty of space. Enjoy king prawn linguine and five-spiced sticky pork at Rooftop Bar & Grill, where you can sit with your pet in a dedicated pet-friendly section. Want to enjoy a meal alone at Rick Stein at Bannisters restaurant? The hotel will organise a dog sitter for the night who will keep your pooch pampered and occupied while you dine on freshly caught kingfish, tuna and snapper from the UK celebrity chef’s menu.

The Sands Torquay, VIC

The Great Ocean Road is one of Australia’s great road trips (it’s in the name), so why not bring along your furry friend? Your pooch will love doing a biiiiig stretch in the private outdoor area, chowing down on the welcome treat and playing with your welcome gift, a bouncy ball. Take your best friend for an on-lead walk, then head to the off-leash Whites Beach just a short walk away.
