St. Regis Opening Costa Mujeres Resort in July
Marriott is moving closer to debuting its newest luxury resort in the Mexican Caribbean. The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort is now planning to open on July 20, according to updated information from the brand.
The resort is located in Costa Mujeres, the fast-growing resort area just north of Cancun that has become one of the region’s primary hubs for new high-end hotel development. The destination sits outside Cancun’s traditional Hotel Zone and has attracted a wave of luxury and upper-upscale openings over the last several years.
The St. Regis Costa Mujeres is positioned as a luxe beachfront resort, with design and programming inspired by the culture and natural setting of Quintana Roo. While full details on room count, dining concepts, and amenities have not yet been released, the property is expected to follow the St. Regis brand’s established formula, including signature butler service, multiple dining venues, beachfront pools, and a full-service spa.
It’s one of a growing number of St. Regis-branded resorts in the Caribbean, with recent openings in both Aruba and Cap Cana.
Costa Mujeres has become a strategic expansion area for major global hotel brands, offering long, uninterrupted beaches and newer resort infrastructure while remaining a short drive from Cancun International Airport. The addition of a St. Regis further cements the destination’s shift toward the luxury end of the market.
The planned July opening places the debut in the heart of the summer travel season, a period that continues to see strong demand for Caribbean and Mexican beach destinations.
