Sunwing Just Added the Only Overwater Bungalow Resort in Cuba

Cuba continues to be a top destination for Canadian travelers, known for its postcard-perfect beaches, rich culture, and wide selection of all-inclusive resorts. Now, Sunwing Vacations is expanding its Cuba offerings with the addition of two new properties — including the country’s first and only resort with overwater bungalows.

The new Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo, set on the stunning shores of Cayo Guillermo in the Cayo Coco area, is redefining high-end travel in Cuba.

The resort stands out as the only property in the country to offer overwater bungalow accommodations, bringing a new level of luxury to the island.

When you travel there, you get sparkling wine and a souvenir on arrival, and perks like early check-in, late check-out, dedicated concierge and butler service.

The resort is now part of the Sunwing portfolio, meaning you can stay there through Sunwing.

Each bungalow features stylish design, plunge pools, and stocked bars, while the resort’s signature Luxury Water Villa offers direct access to the sea.

Sunwing has a growing portfolio of overwater bungalow options across the Caribbean, including at its Royalton Antigua and Royalton CHIC Antigua resorts.

What else do you need to know? There are amenities like an open-air beach bar that frames sweeping views of the coastline, yoga and meditation sessions, complimentary massages, and refined culinary spaces including the Nuevo Floridita beach bar and the Hemingway bar.
