The best hotels in Florence for 2025
Just off the Piazza della Libertà, passers-by could easily miss this unassuming building. Inside, however, are eight apartments, each as impressive as the next. Soaring ceilings, sprawling bedrooms, a seriously impressive art collection; this curated escape blends majestic Florentine style with a laid-back, homely appeal. We stayed in 1AM, the grandest suite on the property’s first floor. A vast living room is suitably framed by a majestic 17th-century tapestry, softly offsetting the beautifully mosaiced floors, and buttery-toned walls. Each of the two bedrooms feature frescoed ceilings, giant fluffy beds, dangling crystal chandeliers, and balconies that open up onto a private terrace, with seating and tables for outdoor dining. The property also offers a full concierge service. Before arriving, guests are sent a form to fill in, with multiple choice questions designed to understand what kind of trip each traveller is hoping for. Each question is then used by the brand’s concierge team to curate an itinerary, from a hamper of delicious treats from local businesses waiting in your room, to a romantic rooftop dinner. There’s also a selection of wine stocked in each property, with prices and labels attached – all sourced from small, local wineries and vineyards. Olivia Morelli
