What the Traveller editors are loving this September
The start of September brings with it new school year vibes – but it’s not the end of summer quite yet. Here, our editors share what they’re up to this month.

After a fairly lazy summer, it’s full steam ahead into a very busy autumn because I’m getting married in October! I only gave myself nine months to plan everything, which seemed like a great idea at the time (less time to plan, less time to stress, right?). But all is not lost – I have my list (read: several lists, many docs and one heck of a spreadsheet) and the remaining jobs to tick off are all fun ones, including beauty prep, and some serious honeymoon outfit planning.
I’ve been making a real effort to look after my skin in the lead up to the big day – drinking plenty of water (made easier with my Stanley Quencher), applying retinol more regularly (I love this Skin Rocks one) and applying SPF religiously (Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen is a firm fave). For a little extra boost, I visited Dr Mia Steyn at Dr Sam Bunting’s Harley St clinic to try Profilho – a hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment for tighter, dewy skin. So far, I’m impressed with the results! For a wedding day glow, I’m going to be visiting the genius that is James Harknett, and then it’s time to whip my unruly brows into shape with the help of the talented team at Nails & Brows Mayfair.
Honeymoon planning is in full swing – we’ll be heading to Arizona, Utah and California, so I’m expecting serious sun. Alongside my trusty Hunza G swimsuit I’ll be packing a few items from some of my favourite brands. I basically love everything Dissh does, but have narrowed it down to this black midi dress and this white lace skirt, and while I’m not usually one for statement dressing, I couldn’t resist this number from Farm Rio – it’ll double up for my hen party too!
When I haven’t been glued to my spreadsheet, I’ve managed to fit in some fun London restaurant visits. First up was the shiny new Shanghai Me London – a swanky Pan-Asian spot at the top of London Hilton on Park Lane. We tucked into yellowtail carpaccio, lobster tempura maki and crispy duck salad, all washed down with a very good martini. Bébé Bob is one of my favourite restaurants in Soho, so I couldn’t pass up the chance to check out their collab with ice cream legends Happy Endings. Finally, dinner at London’s second oldest restaurant Wiltons is sure to be a treat – I’m eyeing up the twice-baked Stilton soufflé followed by beef fillet with béarnaise sauce. Heaven!

Is it boring if I say I’m also planning a wedding? There must be something in the air at CNT right now, but sharing this time with colleagues has made it that bit more special – and given me plenty of inspiration! The big day isn’t until 2026 for me, but I’m trying to break the habit of a lifetime and not leave things until the last minute, so along with planning the event, I’m also thinking about my beauty routine, my wedding wardrobe and – of course – the honeymoon.
